Teach the Teacher Week!

We are all blessed with unique talents, passions and gifts, and this week we shared these with our class! We began the week reading about the variety of gifts God has blessed us with:

Then Mrs. Beliveau became a student and the children took turns being the teacher! It was such a joy seeing students light up and share their passions. Check it out!

We kicked off the week, quite literally, with an obstacle course in the gym:

We were taught how to pass and shoot in hockey:

We headed to the Art Room and learned to make Oobleck, a "non-Newtonian fluid" (which means it is both a liquid and a solid). It felt so different!

We had a two different lessons in making colourful rainbow loom jewelry:

One classmate shared his knowledge of rocks and gems ...

... and another student showed us her crystal collection!

We got creative and learned to draw a baseball ...

an orca, ...

... and a snake!

Out in the sun, we practiced our soccer skills ...
 ... and our hockey skills!

We met a special family member! We learned about her communication device, her wheelchair, and how her family includes her in everything they do!
We got sweaty learning the basics of monkey bars!

Counting to 10 in Spanish isn't too hard when we have such a skilled teacher!

We discovered how easy it is to make a tasty salad! (Mrs. Beliveau is considering turning TEACH the teacher into FEED the teacher next year!)

What an AMAZING week! It was a great opportunity for everyone to lead the learning and to share their gifts and talents.
