As followers of Jesus, we are called to share His love through our words and actions. This past week, we talked about how we can be His hands and feet in the world by spreading kindness, gentleness, and peace.
After reading Beautiful Hands, we reflected on an important question, How can we use our hands to make a difference and show love to others?
Inspired by this message, we created meaningful poppy art. Our little hands worked hard, using our fine motor skills to roll and dip tissue paper, bringing each poppy to life.
Through our creativity, we expressed gratitude and reflected on the importance of peace, remembering that we are called to be the hands of Christ.
Today, our school gathered as a community to pray, to remember, and to give thanks for all those who have worked, and continue to work, for peace.
My hope is that when the children look at the poppies pinned to their collars, they do so with a deeper understanding and heartfelt gratitude. May we each use our hands to bring kindness, gentleness, and peace into the world, for we are called to be the hands of Christ.
